It’s very cold outside. It’s raining and snowing while the wind is blowing. No doubt, the winter is here. Shorter days mean also longer nights and a great opportunity to get together with friends and family. For simple, casual holiday entertaining, try hosting a panini party!

Panini party

The great thing about a panini party is that the prep work is minimal, and because each guest gets to choose their own ingredients, they will all be happy. From the pickiest child who only wants cheese on bread, to the vegan who consumes no animal products, to the growing teenage boy who can never get enough to eat. Even people who are watching their carbs can enjoy a panini sandwich, since flat breads contain only a fraction of the carbohydrates compared to regular bread.

Setting up for your panini party entails laying out a selection of ingredients so your guests can easily assemble their own sandwiches.

Breads. Our panini comes in four varieties, so you can offer a selection to please different palates. Your guests can choose from Plain, Sun-Dried Tomato, Garlic & Herbs, and Maple Cinnamon Panini. You could even save that last one for dessert!

Condiments. Next to the bread, lay out a selection of condiments for your guests to spread on before adding their other ingredients. Start with mayonnaise and mustard, then add a few other options like pesto, marmalade, preserves, or olive tapenade.

Meats. It’s good to offer a variety of meats for your guests to select from, but you don’t have to go overboard. If you have three to five options to choose from, there will be something for everyone. Some ideas include ham, turkey, chicken, roast beef, prosciutto, bacon, and pork loin.

Cheese. You’ll want to use cheeses that will melt easily. You can use sliced cheese, but bowls of shredded cheese are even better, because it melts easier and your guests can mix and match without overdosing on cheese. Again, three to five choices are probably enough. Some popular choices are provolone, sharp cheddar, mozzarella, brie, swiss, and asiago.

Other ingredients. To make the sandwich creation even more fun, consider including a few other ingredients your guests can use to top off their panini sandwiches. Some ideas include mushrooms, avocado, grilled onions, roasted bell peppers, or toasted nuts.

Of course, you’ll also need a panini maker or George Foreman grill to cook the sandwiches. If you’re going to have a lot of guests, you might want to have more than one panini maker available. It’s pretty likely that someone in the group even has one they could bring along for the party.

A panini party is a great way to enjoy time together with some delicious food that doesn’t take all day long to prepare. Remember, it all starts with the bread, so wow your guests with our signature panini breads. These wholesome, aromatic hearth-baked flat breads are the ideal foundation on which to create fabulous panini sandwiches. Contact us to learn more about our quality products and where you can find them.
